How do you know if the emergency breakaway has been pulled on my actuator?

The brakes will not work if the breakaway chain/cable has been engaged. Check your break-away chain/cable. On Titan/UFP actuators the lever should be positioned in the rear as shown in the diagram below.

On Tie Down Engineering/Dexter Marine Products of Georgia actuators the button stop will be visible as shown below.
